What is an arepa?
An arepa is a round corn flour bread, made by hand. Crispy outside, soft inside, naturally gluten-free. In Venezuela it is the main dish at any time of day, filled with pulled beef, chicken, black beans, avocado or cheese. At Aguacate we make every arepa fresh each day on the budare, the traditional clay griddle. Learn more about arepas →
